Serious Concern Over Childrens' Living Conditions

One of the childrens' greatest needs is that of clothing. A huge number among the hundreds of kids we met lack clothes. This is how many of the children look like. As we move around form village to village, we see kids without clothes. They lack shoes, clothes, hygene and medication. This is one of the major factors that cause the children to pick up disease and malaria. We are praying for support to meet the needs of these kids no matter how many they are.

This is how many of the children look throughout the villages. When you move around you will see many of the kids without clothes because they have none. You will see some children wearing a shirt but no pants while others will wear a shirt and pants but no shoes.

Baby Mahama Shiref

Mahama Shiref
Date of Birth: December 31, 2009

Mahama is the first child of his mother. His mother is about 20 years old and has been an orphan for the past 15 years. She has been involved in prostitution to the extent that she had a child with an unidentified father.  She has abandoned the baby and is continuing with prostitution.
This baby was brought to us for attention by a a lady who is not yet a member of our church named Fatu, and now baby Mahama is with Fatu while the mother only comes around once in the while without any meal or care for the child. Fatu is now seeking help for the baby for his survival.

Eric and Beatrice are not working or doing anything to earn money due to the hardship in our country and they are both unskilled. They are Christ followers and faithful members of our church. They both depend on help from our church to fee their children. Their first daughter, Korta, has not been in school, neither have the two additional chilren. We are all praying and trusting God as we seek financial support for them.

Date of Birth: May 14, 2006

Christ and Lydia Nana Fineboye used to have the last name 'Porgbe' (a name meaning 'crying baby' in the local language of the villagers), a name given by the villagers, but they are children that we do not have much accurate information on their father's name. Their mother was said to be without a husband, and all along she had been a hard working woman who fished in the water to find food. The story tells us that their mother was selfish and mean and never said anything about herself. She was killed by a wild African creek creature while out fishing at night. Christ and Lydia were taken by the cheif villagers, and both children have never been to school. Christ cannot talk well but Lydia does. They were brought from rural Liberia and given to Eric Fineboye and his wife, some commited members in our church. They have one daughter named Korta Sunnaway. Our church have been helping the Fineboye family for quite a while and they are faith Christians. We allowed Christ and Lydia to adopt their last name and stay with the Fineboyes as we find means of supporting the kids to stay there. Every time I visit them, Christ always cries because he wants to come along with me.
